Birinci Dünya Savaşı´nda Alman Propaganda Albümlerine Bir Örnek: "Album De La Grande Guerre"

Savaşların cephelerde gerçekleşen fiziki çatışma kısmı yanında cephe gerisinde sürdürülen kayda değer bir arka planı vardır. Günümüzde propaganda olarak nitelendirilen olgu ise hem cephenin hem de cephe gerisinin bir parçasıdır. Propaganda; özünde bir fikri, düşünceyi veyahut algıyı karşı tarafa kabul ettirme ve yönlendirme gibi sistemli bir çalışmayı ifade etmektedir. Bireyi ya da toplumu etkilemeyi amaçlayan propaganda, klasik dönemlerde sadece toplumu etkileme gibi daha dar bir alanı kapsarken modern dönemlerde profesyonel bir disiplin olarak kullanılmaya başlanmıştır. Araç olarak kullanılabilen bütün kaynaklar propagandanın malzemesi olabilirken, Birinci Dünya Savaşı özellikle yazılı ve görsel propagandanın önemini ortaya koymuştur. Fotoğraf teknolojisinin ve baskı imkânlarının gelişmesine bağlı olarak savaşın herhangi bir anına veya genel seyrine ait bir durum, çoğu zaman manipüle edilerek arzu edilen biçimde kitlelere ulaştırılmaya çalışılmıştır.

Besides the physical conflict that takes place on the fronts, the wars have a significant background behind the front. Today, the phenomenon described as propaganda is a part of both the front and the behind of the front. Propaganda; In essence, it refers to a systematic work such as imposing and directing an idea, thought or perception to the other party. Propaganda, which aims to influence the individual or the society, covers a narrower area such as only affecting the society in classical periods, but in modern times it has been used as a professional discipline. In fact, besides being the material of all propaganda that can be used as a tool, World War I demonstrated the importance of written and visual propaganda in particular. A situation belonging to any moment of the war or the general course of the war, depending on the development of photography technology and printing possibilities, is often manipulated and tried to reach the masses as desired.
