Bursa´da Serbest Cumhuriyet Fırkası Teşkilatı ve İktidar İle Çekişmesi

Bu çalışma Serbest Cumhuriyet Fırkası´nın (SCF) Bursa Vilayeti´nde teşkilatlanması ve 1930 yılı belediye seçimlerini inceleyerek, SCF´nın Bursa´da başarılı olamasa da etkin muhalefeti ile CHF iktidarının kendisini sorgulamasına sebep olduğunu ortaya koymaktadır. Bu etkin muhalefet sonucu CHF merkez ile taşra arasındaki kopukluğu gidermek için Bursa ve çevresine önemli yatırımlar başlatarak ekonomide ortaya çıkan eksiklikleri gidermeye çalışmış ayrıca Halkevleri ve Halkodası gibi kültürel yatırımlarla da halk ile arasındaki kopukluğu gidermeye çalışmıştır.

This article examines the organization of the Liberal Republic Party in Bursa and the 1930 municipal elections. It argues that although SCF was not successful in the elections, its effective opposition forced the Republican Public Party (RPP) government to question its existing policies. After this effective opposition, in order to bridge the gap between the center and the region and improve economic conditions, the RPP initiated state investments in Bursa and its vicinity. Furthermore, the RPP initiated cultural investments such as People´s Houses and People´s Rooms.
