Mütareke Döneminde İstanbul'da Hayat Pahalılığı Sorunu (1918-1922)
Mütareke döneminde İstanbul´da hayat pahallılığı ciddi bir sorun olmuştu. Bu sorunun temelinde, ülkenin işgal edilmesi, Anadolu´da ortaya çıkan milli mücadele hareketi, üretim düşüklüğü, spekülatörlerin piyasaya müdahale etmeleri gibi sebepler yatıyordu. İstanbul Hükümeti bunun önüne geçmek için bir takım tedbirlere başvurmuştu, buna rağmen istediği sonucu alamamıştı.

Cost of Living Problem in İstanbul during the Armistice Period (1918 - 1922)
During the Armistice Period, cost of living in İstanbul had become a serious problem. Having been invaded of the country, national struggle movement in Anatolia, decrease in production, and the intervention of the speculators to the market were the underlying problems of this issue. İstanbul government had taken some precautions to prevent these problems, but they hadn´t been sucessful.
