Demokrat Parti'nin Ordu İlinde Kuruluşu ve 1950 Seçimlerine Giden Süreç

Türkiye, II. Dünya Savaşına girmemesine rağmen savaştan her türlü etkilenmiş ve savaş sonrasında oluşan yeni dünya düzenine ayak uydurmaya çalışmıştır. Türkiye savaşın ortaya çıkardığı iç ve dış dinamiklerin etkisiyle çok partili hayata geçme kararı almıştır. Demokrat Parti de bu yeni dünya düzeninin bir ürünü olarak CHP içinden bir grup muhalif tarafından 7 Ocak 1946 tarihinde kurulmuştur. Ülke genelinde teşkilatlanma çalışmalarına başlayan Demokrat Parti, kurulduktan 6 ay sonra da Ordu´da şubesini açmıştır. Demokrat Parti, kurulduktan kısa bir zaman sonra yapılan 1946 genel seçimlerinde Ordu´da başarılı olamamıştır. 1950´de yapılan genel seçimlerde ise Cumhuriyet Halk Partisini yenerek, iktidarı ele almıştır. Böylece Demokrat Parti, 27 yıllık tek parti dönemine son vermiş, çok partili hayata geçilmiştir. Fakat Ordu yerelinde ülke geneline tezat bir durum ortaya çıkmış, Demokrat Parti burada önemli bir başarı elde edememiştir. Bu çalışmada Demokrat Partinin Ordu´da Kuruluşu ve 1950 seçimlerine m giden süreç incelenmiştir. Araştırma yapılırken Cumhurbaşkanlığı Devlet Arşivinde bulunan belgeler, yerel gazeteden, meclis arşivi ve basılı diğer kaynaklardan yararlanılmıştır.

Turkey has influnced by all kinds of war, despite not entering the Second World War and it has tried to keep up with the new World order that emerged after the war. Turkey under the influence of internal and external dynamics revealed by the war, it was decided to start multi-party life. The Democratic Party was founded on January 7, 1946 by a group of opponnets from the CHP as product of this new World order. The Democratic Party, which started to be organized troughout the country, oppned its branch in the province of Ordu 6 months after its establishment. Democratic Party failed in the province of Ordu in the general elections held shortly after its establishment. İn the general elections held in 1950, The Republic People´s Party defeated and took over the power. Thus the Democratic Party ended the single-party period of 27 years and started multi-party life. But there was a situation in contrast to the principle of the country in the Ordu locality the Democratic Party did not achieved a significant success here. In this study, the process of the establisment of the Democratic Party in the Ordu and the process leading to the 1950 elections were examined. During the research, documents from the Presidental State Archive, newspaper of the local, parlimentary archives and other printed sources were used.
