The Discussions Made in Turkish Assembly About Democracy, Freedom and Development During The Budget Sessions In Democratic Political Patry Period
The elections held on 14th May, 1950 were important in regard of Turkish Democracy history. The country was governed by another political party for the first time in history through elections. The Republic People party that ruled the country for 27 years lost the power and The Democratic Political Party started to govern the country. The Democrat Party promised the citizens in their election decleration that they would establish a new democratic rules in the country. The promises and the applications of the Democrat Party in 10 years caused some arguments in the country. Many scientific articals, thesis, books have been published and many studies have been carried out about these arguments. The issue was handled in historical, political, social and economical aspects. In the Democratic Party period, there happened many discussions and arguments in Turkish Assembly during the Budget disccussions about democracy, freedom and development.This study contributed to the literature with the knowledge with the articles obtained from the Turkish Assembly newspapers.

Demokrat Parti İktidarı Döneminde Türkiye Büyük Millet Meclisi Bütçe Görüşmelerinde Demokrasi, Hürriyet ve Kalkınma Konularında Yapılan Tartışmalar
14 Mayıs 1950 tarihinde yapılan seçimler, Türk Demokrasi Tarihi açısından önemlidir. Çünkü ilk defa sandık sonuçları itibarıyla iktidar el değiştirmiştir. 27 yıllık Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi dönemi bitmiş, Demokrat Parti dönemi başlamıştır. Demokrat Parti, kuruluş dönemlerinde ve seçim beyannâmelerinde ülkede demokratik düzeni kuracağını vaad etmiştir. Demokrat Partinin bu konudaki vaadleri ve 10 yıllık iktidar dönemindeki uygulamaları, ülke gündeminde sürekli tartışma konusu olmuştur. Bu konuda pek çok bilimsel çalışma yapılmış, tez, kitap ve makaleler yazılmış; konunun tarihî, siyasî, sosyal, ekonomik boyutları ortaya konmuştur. Demokrat Parti döneminde, demokrasi, hürriyet ve kalkınma konularında, Türkiye Büyük Millet Meclisi´nde bütçe görüşmeleri sırasında da çok yoğun tartışmalar yaşanmıştır. Bu makalemizde, Türkiye Büyük Millet Meclisi Zabıt Ceridesi´nden taradığımız bu konularla ilgili bilgiler literatüre kazandırılmak suretiyle bilime katkı yapılmıştır.
