The Issue of Agiotage in Ottomon Commercial, Social and Economic Life (1880-1916)
In this study, the influences of agioatage issue on commercial, economic and social life were evaluated. Between 1880 and 1916, mecidiye and lira began to be circulated in the Ottoman market with very different market values than those determined by the state, so the agiotage turned into a great speculation tool. In this article, issues such as how the local market values and the agiotage fed each other, what speculative movements occured in the market, what kind of sufferings the small producer experienced in this process, how the state was incapable of solving these problems are discussed with examples. As a result of this study, it has been determined that the issue of agiotage, which is a financial problem and originates from the weaknesses of the monetary system, has engraved in social and economic life.

OSMANLI TİCARÎ, SOSYAL VE EKONOMİK HAYATINDA AKÇE FARKI MESELESİ (1880 - 1916)
Bu çalışmada akçe farkı meselesinin ticarî, ekonomik ve sosyal hayattaki etkileri değerlendirilmiştir. 1880 – 1916 yılları arasında Osmanlı piyasasında mecidiye ve lira devletin tayin ettiğinden çok farklı rayiçlerle tedavül etmeye başlamış, bu yüzden akçe farkı büyük bir spekülasyon aracına dönüşmüştü. Makalede mahallî rayiçlerin ve akçe farkının birbirini nasıl beslediği, piyasada ne gibi spekülatif hareketler ortaya çıktığı, bu süreçte küçük üreticinin ne tür mağduriyetler yaşadığı, devletin sorunları çözmekte nasıl aciz kaldığı gibi hususlar örneklerle ele alınmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda para sisteminin zaaflarından kaynaklanan ve esasında mâlî bir sorun olan akçe farkı meselesinin toplumsal ve ekonomik hayatta da derin izler bıraktığı tespit edilmiştir.
