Turkoman Problem from the Seljuqs to the Safavid
Oğuz Turks who were able to achieve dominance over Middle East with the leadership of the Seljuq family had a dispute with the current government due to the fact that the state they founded turned its back on them. This general discontent continued throughout the reign of the Seljuqs. After the Mogul attacks lost their affect the Turkomans gained control of the Middle East. Whereas the Ottoman empire was rising in power in Anatolia, Akkoyunlu and Karakoyunlu states emerged in Eastern Anatolia, Azerbaijan, Iraq and Iran. Even though all three were Turkmen dynasty, the Turkoman problem continued. After the Ottoman Empire turned its back on them this restlessness surfaced. This forced the Turkomans in Anatolia to join the Safevids and to migrate to Azerbaijan, Iraq and Iran.

Selçuklulardan Safevîlere Türkmen Meselesi
Selçuklu ailesi liderliğinde orta doğuda hâkimiyet kurmayı başaran Oğuz Türkleri, kurdukları devletin kendilerine sırt çevirerek, geri plana itmesi üzerine mevcut yönetimle sürtüşmüşlerdi. Bu genel memnuniyetsizlik bütün Selçuklu devri boyunca devam etti. Moğol saldırılarının etkisini yitirmesinden sonra orta-doğuda kontrol yine Türkmenlerin ellerine geçti. Anadolu´da Osmanlı hanedanı yükselirken, Doğu Anadolu, Azerbaycan, Irak ve İran´da Akkoyunlular ve Karakoyunlular ortaya çıktılar. Bunların her üçü de Türkmen hanedanları olmalarına rağmen Türkmen meselesi yine devam etti. Osmanlı Devletinin onlara sırt çevirmesi huzursuzlukları su yüzüne çıkardı. Bu durum Anadolu´daki Türkmenleri bir arayış içerisine iterek Safevîlere bağlandı ve bulundukları toprakları terk ederek Azerbaycan, Irak ve İran´a göç ettirdi.
