Modern Devlet ve Güvenlik: Fransa, Avusturya-Macaristan ve Osmanlı İmparatorluğu´nda Jandarma Teşkilatı
İlk olarak Fransa`da kurulmuş olan Jandarma teşkilatının Fransa ile rekabet halindeki Avusturya-Macaristan İmaparatorluğu´na ihraç şekli Osmanlı İmparatorluğu´ndan farklıdır. Jandarma sistemi Avusturya-Macaristan İmparatorluğu´na fetih ve istila yolu ile geçerken Osmanlı İmparatorluğu bu sistemi gönüllü olarak uygulamaya başladı. İki imparatorluğun uygulama vesileleri farklı fakat ihtiyaçları aynı idi.

Modern State and Security: The Gendarmerie System in France, Austria-Hungary and the Ottoman Empire
The adaptation of gendarmerie system, which was first established in France, was different in Austria-Hungary and the Ottoman Empire because of the way this system was adapted in these two empires. While the gendarmerie system came to Austria-Hungary Empire through the French invasion, the Ottoman Empire voluntarily adapted it. The cause of this adaptation was different in these two empires but they both needed it.
