Yassıada Mahkemelerinde Adnan Menderes (6/7 Eylül Davası)

Bu çalışmanın temel amacı, Yassıada Mahkemelerinde görülen 6/7 Eylül Olayları Davasında Adnan Menderes´in yargılanma sürecini incelemektir. Böylece bir dönemi yargılayan Yassıada Mahkemelerinin çalışma usulleri, mahkemenin 6/7 Eylül Olaylarına yaklaşım şekli ve Adnan Menderes´in nasıl yargılandığı belirlenmeye çalışılacaktır. Yassıada Mahkemeleri 6/7 Eylül Olayları Davası; 11 sanığın yargılanmasıyla başladı. 20 oturumun gerçekleştirildiği bu mahkemede, suçlamalar zamanla Adnan Menderes üzerinde toplandı. 98 şahidin dinlendiği bu yargılama sürecinde, usule ilişkin pek çok tartışmalar yaşandı. Mahkeme olayları Selanik´te patlayan Bomba Hadisesi, İstanbul ve İzmir Olayları olmak üzere üç bölüme ayırdı. Olaylar üzerinden mahkemede Türkiye-Yunanistan ilişkileri ve Türkiye´nin Kıbrıs politikası üzerine önemli değerlendirmeler yapıldı. 6/7 Eylül Olayları üzerinden geçen beş yıl sonra böyle bir davanın açılması, bu olayların gerçek sorumlularının tespit edilebilmesi için bir şans oldu. Fakat mahkeme olayların arkasındaki sorumluları araştırmaktan ziyade Adnan Menderes´i nasıl cezalandırabilirim anlayışı üzerinden yürüdü. Böylece bu olay arkasındaki sır perdesi tamamen aydınlatılamadığı gibi bu yargılama şansı da değerlendirilememiş oldu.

The main purpose of this study is to examine the trial process of Adnan Menderes in the 6/7 September events trial in the Yassiada courts. Thus, the Working Procedures of the Yassiada courts that judged a period, the manner in which the court approached the events of 6/7 September, and how Adnan Menderes was faced trial will be determined. The Yassiada courts trial of the events of 6/7 September began with the trial of 11 defendants. In this court, where 20 sessions were held, the charges were eventually brought against Adnan Menderes. During this trial, in which 98 witnesses were heard, there were many procedural arguments. The court divided the events into three sections: the bomb incident in Thessaloniki, the Istanbul and Izmir incidents. Over the events, important evaluations were made in the court on Turkey-Greece relations and Turkey's Cyprus policy. The opening of such a case five years after the events of September 6/7 was a chance for the real culprits of these events to be identified. But rather than investigating those responsible, the court went about how to punish Adnan Menderes. Thus, the mystery behind this incident could not be fully elucidated, nor could the chances of this trial be evaluated.
