Yeni Bir Yol Keşfi: Konya-Aksaray Antik Yol Güzergahı

2017 yılı Bozdağ Milli Parkı Doğu ve Kuzey Kesimi Yüzey Araştırması esnasında Roma Dönemi´ne ait olduğunu düşündüğümüz bir yol tespit edilmiştir. Yapılan incelemelerde, bu yolun çift şeritli olarak, her bir şeridinin 3 m. olmak üzere toplam 6m. genişliğinde, taş döşeli bir yol olduğu anlaşılmaktadır. Bölgedeki diğer Roma yolları ile kıyaslandığında böyle geniş ölçülere sahip bir yol bugüne kadar ortaya çıkmamıştır. Yapılan literatür çalışmalarında, söz konusu yolun daha önce bilimsel yayınlarda yer almadığı ve yol ağının bilinmediği ön görülmektedir. Ayrıca yol üzerinde bulunan han kalıntıları ve etrafındaki seramik örnekler yolun Ortaçağ´da da kullanıldığını göstermektedir. Bu nedenle söz konusu yolun yapım tekniği, ulaşım güzergahı ve üzerinde bulunduğu hanlar bölgenin ulaşım ağını belirlemek açısından son derece önemlidir. Bu çalışma, bölgenin ulaşım bağlantısını daha da belirginleştirmek ve topografyaya uygun olarak geçiş noktalarını belirlemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Böylece hem bu güne dek yapılan haritalandırma çalışmalarındaki eksikliği gidermek hem de yeni bir yol ağı önerisinde bulunmaya çalışılmaktadır. Çalışmada, ortaya çıkarılan yolun güzergahı esas alınmış ve sadece bu hattın konumu ve çevresindeki yapılaşma üzerinde durulmuştur. Bu noktada yol üzerindeki han kalıntılarının konumu, mevcut durumu ve dönemi de çalışmanın başlıca konularından birini oluşturmaktadır.

A road that we think belongs to the Roman Period was identified during the Bozdağ National Park East and North Section Survey in 2017. We concluded in the examinations carried out that this road is double lane, each lane is 3 m. total 6m. which is a stone paved road. Compared to other Roman roads in the region, such a wide-scale road has not emerged until today. In the literature studies, it is foreseen that this road has not been previously published in scientific publications and the road network is unknown. In addition, the ruins of the khan on the road and the ceramic samples around it show that the road was also used in the Middle Ages. For this reason, the construction technique of the mentioned road, the transportation route and the khans on which it is located are extremely important in terms of determining the transportation network of the region. This study aims to further define the transportation network of the region and determine the transition points in accordance with the topography. Thus, it is tried to both eliminate the deficiency in the mapping studies carried out so far and to suggest a new road network. In the study, the route of the unearthed road has been taken as basis and only the location of this line and the surrounding construction have been emphasized. At this point, the location, current status and period of the khan remains on the road constitute one of the main topics of the study.
