Hacı İbrahim Paşa´nın Vakıf Hizmetleri

İbrahim Paşa, çocuk yaşta saray mutfağında başladığı devlet hizmetine kethüdalık, kaptan-ı deryalık, sancak beyliği, beylerbeylik ve hac emirliği gibi muhtelif görevlerle devam etmiştir. Son olarak kendisine Girit valiliği ve Kandiye muhafızlığı tevcih olunmuştur. Bu görevi esnasında vefat etmiştir. Kandiye´de yaptırdığı mektebin bahçesi ebedi istirahatgahı olmuştur. Kethüdalık döneminden hayatının son demlerine kadar vakıflar kurmuş ve kurduğu vakıfların ayakta kalması için mal varlığını bu vakıflara aktarmıştır. İbrahim Paşa´nın vakıfları hakkında bilgi veren araştırmalar incelendiğinde bunların vakfiye temelli olduğu ve sadece İstanbul´da tesis edilen iki vakıftan bahsettiği görülmektedir. Bu çalışma ise Devlet Arşivleri Başkanlığı Osmanlı Arşivi´nde bulunan farklı arşiv fonlarındaki perakende evrak ve defterlerin yanı sıra İbrahim Paşa tarafından kurulan vakıflara ait Vakıflar Genel Müdürlüğü Arşivi´ndeki farklı tarihli dört ayrı vakfiyeden istifade edilerek hazırlanmıştır. İbrahim Paşa´nın kurmuş olduğu vakıflar, yine kendisi tarafından inşa ettirilen cami ve mektepleri finanse etmek için kurulmuştur. Tafsilatlı bir inceleme yapıldığında, hem kuruluş aşamasında hem de sonrasında, eğitim alanında önemli hizmetler sunduğu görülmektedir. Bu hizmetlerin sadece kendi bünyesindeki birimlerle sınırlı kalmamış olması da ayrı bir fark yaratmaktadır. Müstakil vakıf çalışmaları satır aralarında kalmış detayların gün yüzüne çıkarılmasını ve incelenen konunun daha iyi anlaşılmasını sağlamaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı İbrahim Paşa vakıflarının kuruluşunu, işleyişini ve topluma sunduğu hizmetleri anlatmaktır. Ibrahim Pasha, who started his state service in the palace kitchen when he was a child, continued with various services such as chamberlainship, admiral in chief, sanjakbeys, beylerbeylik, governor and pilgrimage emirate. In addition, he was given the governorship of Crete and the guard of Heraklion. He passed away during this service. The garden of the school built by him in Heraklion was the eternal resting place of Ibrahim Pasha. He established foundations from the time of his chamberlainship until the last days of his life and transferred his assets to these foundations for the continuity of the foundations. When the studies which are about Ibrahim Pasha´s foundations are examined, it can be noticed that they are based on just only the foundations and especially two foundations founded in Constantinople. This study was prepared by using the retail documents and notebooks in different archive funds in the Ottoman Archives of the Presidency of State Archives, as well as four different foundations with different dates in the Archives of the General Directorate of Foundations established by İbrahim Pasha. Ibrahim Pasha´s foundations were founded to fund the mosque and school built by him. When a detailed investigation is carried out, it is seen that this foundation made a major contribution in the field of education both during the foundation phase and after. What is more, these services were not limited to its structure, which made a big difference. Private foundation studies help the hidden details come out and provide a better understanding of the subject studied. This study aims to explain Ibrahim Pasha´s foundations´ establishment, function and services offered the society.
