Ondokuzncu Yüzyılın İkinci Yarısında Osmanlı Taşrasında Bir Kadının Hukuk Mücadelesi: Midilli Nazırı Kulaksızzade Mustafa Ağa'nın Mirası Davası
Osmanlı Miras hukuku İslam Miras hukuku çerçevesinde şer´î mahkemelerin konusu olmuştur. Tanzimat ile birlikte kurulan meclisler hem yerel ölçekte hem de merkezi yönetim de mühim rol oynamıştır. Tanzimat´ın taşrada uygulanması noktasında bu meclisler merkezî bir konumda olmuştur. Bu amaç doğrultusunda kurulan Meclis-i Vâlâ bir temyiz mahkemesi olarak görev ifa etmiştir. Midilli Nazırı Kulaksızzade Mustafa Ağa´nın miras davası hem bu meclisin işleyiş şekli, hem de bir Osmanlı kadınının sürdürdüğü hak arayışı mücadelesinin ilginç bir örneğidir. Bu dava süreci takip edilerek Midilli adasında ki sosyal, siyasi ve iktisadi ilişkiler hakkında da bazı mühim bilgilere ulaşılmıştır.
