Muhafazakâr Milliyetçi Muhayyilede Kanuni: Muhteşem Yüzyıl'a Yönelik Tepkilere Dair Bir Okuma
Bu çalışma Muhteşem Yüzyıl dizisine getirilen eleştiriler ile yapımcıları kasıt ve ihanetle suçlamaya varan tepkilerin temel nedeninin Türk halkının kimlik sorunu olduğu tezini savunmaktadır. Milliyetçi-muhafazakâr kesimler için, milli kimlik anlatılarının önemli bir unsuru olan Osmanlı´nın Muhteşem Yüzyıl dizisinde temsil ediliş biçiminin kendi bakış açılarına uygun olmaması rahatsızlık yaratmış ve dizi çok yoğun tepki almıştır.

Suleyman the Magnificent in the Imagination of Conservative Nationalist: A Reading on Reactions to Muhteşem Yüzyıl
This article argues that the underlying cause of harsh criticism toward the popular Turkish TV series Magnificent Century is the identity problem of the Turkish people. The series received a negative reaction from the nationalist-conservative circles because the of way the Ottomans are depicted in the series does not conform to the Ottoman imaginations of the nationalist-conservative circles
